O365 email Reputation

Microsoft is making a change that could affect your Microsoft Office 365 email sender reputation

Were you aware that if you are utilizing Microsoft Exchange Online and you don’t currently have DMARC, DKIM and SPF configured to work together, your organization’s reputation as a sender will be impacted which could result in a larger percentage of your outgoing emails being quarantined. Likewise, if your business partners or customers do not have DKIM or DMARC configured those emails are more likely to be quarantined. You can opt out of this by October 15th.

Organizations that do not have Microsoft Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) will see two changes:

  1. If you do not have DMARC/DKIM then your own sender reputation will be impacted when you email any other O365 organization, as Microsoft’s new implicit email authentication standard will treat you with increased scrutiny.
  2. If you receive email from any sender who does not have DKIM/DMARC, those emails are more likely to be quarantined or sent to junk mail since Microsoft’s new implicit email authentication standard will treat those with increased scrutiny.

Patriot can help you address this issue and is offering special pricing for the next 30 days to any organization that wants to ensure they are ahead of this change.
